£1.60 per kilo
Ready E Oct Season Oct - Dec
Grown in 1949 in the Netherlands in Puiflijk and Altforst, near Nijmegen, by Piet de Sonnaville. A cross between Cox's Orange Pippin and either Belle de Boskoop or Jonathan.
The apples are medium in size, round and slightly flat.
The skin is rather rough and dark earthy red in colour, with fine broken stripes and patches of russet.
The flesh inside however, is crisp and juicy with a sweet honey like flavour.
