Raised in the UK by Dr F Alston at the East Malling Research Station, Kent. A cross between Worcester Pearmain and Starkspur Golden Delicious.
The fruits are medium in size, round in shape. The skin is pale yellowy green with a bright red blush. The flesh is white, juicy and rather refreshing, but tends to be a little bland for adult palettes; however it remains a great favourite with the children.
