Raised in Flemlöse, Westfyn Island, Denmark around 1910 by Mr Madsen, and named after his daughter, Ingrid Marie. Thought to be a seedling of Cox's Orange Pippin.
The fruits are medium to large in size, round and squat. The skin is green flushed all over with very dark red. The flesh inside is creamy white, soft and juicy, and aromatic.
