Introduced in America in 1942 as a cross between Wagner and Jonathan. Raised at the Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station at Moscow, Idaho, by Leif Verner.
The fruits are medium to large in size, round and slightly flat in shape. The skin is green/yellow over flushed with a bright pink-red.
The crisp, sweet, delicate ''apple white'' flesh is also juicy, with an agreeable flavour.
