Raised in New Zealand in 1934 by J H Kidd of Greytown, Wairarapa Valley, as a cross between Kidd's Orange Red and Golden Delicious.
The fruits are medium in size, long to conical in shape. The skin is yellow/ green flushed with orange/red and covered with red dots and flecks.
Inside the flesh is creamy yellow, and has a sweet flavour with a hint of pear drops.
