Raised in 1972 by Dr F Alston at the East Malling Research Station, Kent. A combination of Cox's Orange Pippin and Idared. Inherits some of the flavour of the Cox.
The fruits are medium in size, round and slightly flat in shape. The skin is green flushed over with deep cerise red.
The firm crisp flesh is yellow and juicy, sweet and flavourful.
