Devonshire Quarrendon apple

An apple of unknown disputed origin. Some say that it arose in Devon, others say that it came across the water from France. It was recorded in 1676 by Worlidge.
The apples are small- medium in size, and round in squat in shape. The skin is yellow , almost entirely covered with a deep red colour.
