Raised by John Braddick at Thames Ditton, Surey: first shown nearly two hundred years ago in 1818. A dessert apple of unknown origin, this apple is firm, and both sweet and sharp.
It displays some russeting on the skin, which is flushed and striped. The flesh inside is white, crisp and fine textured.
